Collection season and festive changes

The 2026/27 subscription runs from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. Collections are every two weeks throughout the year; check the address calendar for Christmas and bank-holiday timing.

Container options

The 240-litre brown bin is the main option. Small quantities can instead use official 75-litre compostable brown sacks costing £2 each; sack-only households must book at least two full working days ahead.

Renewal and service dates

The annual bin subscription is £99 and takes up to two working days to activate. It is registered to one address, with no part-year refund once service starts; a supplied bin may take up to 10 working days.

Concessions and payment support

The checked service page does not publish a standard concessionary subscription. Brown sacks provide a pay-as-needed alternative for smaller amounts.

If your garden-waste collection is missed

Check the basics. Put the paid-for bin or booked sacks at the kerbside by 6.30am, or 5.30am on bank holidays. Report a genuine miss by the end of the next working day and leave the waste out for the return.
Use the official reporting route. Reporting windows differ, so follow the live council instructions rather than waiting for the next collection.
