Collection season and festive changes
The scheme supplies 24 fortnightly collections through the year, except for its Christmas break. Use the 2026/27 calendar because some rounds have changed.
Container options
£62.50 first bin The subscription applies to a council-issued brown bin. £36.25 second bin A reduced subscription price applies to the second bin. Bin charge if needed A first new bin and delivery costs £54.60.
Renewal and service dates
The subscription costs £62.50 for 24 rounds. Renewal opens only five weeks before expiry; a separate £54.60 charge covers the bin, delivery and related provision.
Concessions and payment support
The council publishes a reduced £36.25 subscription for eligible customers. Confirm the current qualification route before paying.

What can go in the garden-waste container?
Accepted
Grass cuttings, leaves, flowers, plants, weeds, hedge trimmings, prunings, twigs and suitable small branches.
Not accepted
Food waste, soil, rubble, stones, plastic bags, plant pots, pet waste and ordinary household rubbish.

Suitable household garden waste can be taken to the area’s recycling-centre alternative.
