The 2026 service provides fortnightly collections from March to early December and then pauses over winter.
Container options
£52 per licence The annual fee covers one 240-litre wheelie bin. Ready from 6am Display the licence sticker clearly on the bin. Depending on the local collection arrangement, the council may use a wheelie bin, compostable liners, sacks or bags.
Renewal and service dates
A 2026 licence costs £52 for one 240-litre bin regardless of when it is bought. The licence pack normally arrives within 14 days and the sticker must be displayed before collections begin.

What can go in the garden-waste container?
Accepted
Cut flowers, plants, weeds, grass cuttings, hay, straw, hedge clippings, leaves, bark, small branches, prunings and windfall fruit.
Not accepted
Ash, paper, cardboard, nappies, food waste, household rubbish, pet waste, pots, plastic bags, rubble, soil, stones, turf and wood.
