Broxtowe’s 2026/27 brown-bin subscription costs £45 for the first bin and £28 for each additional bin, covering collections from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.

Collections are fortnightly in March and April to November, then four-weekly in winter.

Using the service
- Check the official council page before subscribing or presenting waste.
- Keep all accepted material inside the correct garden-waste container.
- Use the council collection service for current dates and disruption notices.
- Do not contaminate garden waste with bags, soil, rubble or household rubbish.
What can go in the container?
Accepted
Grass cuttings, leaves, flowers, plants, weeds, hedge trimmings, twigs and suitable small branches.
Not accepted
Food waste, soil, rubble, plastic bags, plant pots, household rubbish and unsuitable oversized material.
Extra guidance
From 1 October 2026 the first-bin subscription is reduced to £27 and additional bins receive a 50% discount.
